All the girls are dead!
Having one Y chromosome allowed only the boys in the age range of 0-17 to outlive the girls of the same age when this X chromosome flu moved through the densely populated areas of the planet.
There was almost a 50/50 shot of the girls between the ages of 18 and 22 to survive the disease and there were no documented fatalities from this chromosome flu of women over the age of 22.
So now we have a whole generation of boys that have to explore or develop a sexuality without girls.
